How to Make A Birdfeeder or Birdbath With Vases

Today was 84 degrees and I just had to get out and do some work in the yard. I love Spring and enjoy working in the yard and thinking of new things to do.
Today I made a birdbath/bird feeder out of a old vase I had and picked up a neat looking ceramic dish at a second hand shop for $2.50.
Decided to paint the vase a slate blue to match the blue flowers in the dish. Went to Lowe's found reduced flowers so the plant cost me $1.00 clay pot $1.25 and the spray paint was on sale at our local DIY store for $1.88 so for $6.63 I have a new piece to place in my garden.

Things You Will Need

Old Tall Vase
Large Round Dish Or Snack Dish If You Like To Tier
Spray Paint Any Color
Cement Glue
Plant
Clay pot to fit in center

 How To Make

Clean the vase off all dirt and dust so you have a nice clean surface to paint.
Spray Paint all of the vase except the bottom
Once paint is dry turn the vase upside down so you can glue the dish to the vase bottom.
While glue is drying paint your clay pot
Once pot of dry plant you your plant  and place the pot in the center. I did not glue mine so I could remove it if needed.
I will get a new square paver to glue the Bird feeder/ birdbath on make sure it will not knock over.
Fill it with water or bird seeds and place in garden.
This took me about an hour to do.
I am planning on making another one but using a clear or colored glass vase with a mosaic dish (if I can find one cheap) to place in my rose garden.  I also will place solar lights around the bird feeder/bath once I get my plants planted in the space.
I had a lot of fun making this neat piece.
Let me know if you make one I would love to see it!
