As a new member of the Addoway community, I want to take a few moments to introduce myself.
My name is Nancy...I am a nearing-middle-age mom of five, who left the corporate workforce six years to be able to spend that precious time with my youngest child. It has a been a blessing!! I feel like I missed out on so much when my older children were small - and I was spending my days in an office.
I started out selling books on eBay. I quickly found it was fun and exciting to get those sales. After a few months, I started adding in vintage Tupperware items. And then I found my own love of retro/vintage home decor. I am especially fond of vintage lighting. I love the mid-century era design!
I am a yard sale junkie, but also enjoy auctions, some thrift stores and occasionally an open-air flea market. I love getting up early on Saturday mornings to go to the local sales to see what goodies I can find. Here is east Tennessee, we see an interesting assortment. Some recent finds:
a prohibition era whisky jug. Needless to say - it didnt last long online. A pottery collector purchased that one, and was so very pleased to have it.
a fabulous set of 60's era living room tables with the blonde toned wood. Each had an upper tier, clean lines. They were both shipped last week to the New England states. The lady has a 50's built home, in which she has decorated with period decor.
a matched set of Catherine Holm enamal cookware in the yellow lotus design. Shipped to Australia to another satisfied customer
Online now: a beautiful pair of vintage light fixutres. In an art nouveau style, the feature an adorable cherub perched atop fish! The bottom of each cut glass globe is adorned with an acorn finial. Go to my storefront to check them out! More items will be added - just getting started here on Addoway (but if you would like to view my feedback over there on my other site, feel free to contact me for the link) =)
