Can You Hear Me Now?

Good communication is certainly one of the hallmarks of providing excellent customer service. Are you a responsible Seller who responds promptly to inquiries? Do you make it a point to check your selling sites at least once per day and monitor your email for potential questions or requests? In order to make your Customer feel valued, one must be motivated enough to respond promptly and efficiently to any and ALL communications from a customer/potential customer. Let your potential customers know you are listening and that you CAN hear them now. They will reward you with positive feedback and reviews and will become loyal and valued repeat customers!

Ha! I hear that!...

I was just running some statistical Twitter graphs for research when I accidentally came across this blog "On Twitter" and just had to be NOSE-e to read what this is all about.

Nope! Because I don't ever get those type of inquiries. 100% of my customers seem satisfied with the full details within their item description that it only makes SENSE for merchants to be precise without going overboard with their own ads.

I fully agree with "they will become loyal and valued repeat customers"...

What a fine way to start off the New Year by reading this blog this evening.

Are these components of Customer Service:

1. Should a seller request feedback from buyer?

2. Should seller contact buyer if Negative feedback was given?

3. Should a Merchant create awareness in their shop by uploading a banner?

4. Should a seller be posting topics within a Discussion Forum that come across negative about their business transaction with buyers?

5. Should a seller contact previous buyers with "Sale Notices, Coupons and Discounts" using internal site mail or email?

6. Should you rely on the site to inform buyer that their order has been shipped or should the seller go one step further to contact buyer direct?

7. There are Addoway Merchants with a "Last Activity" shown in 2012, in October 2013, is this good CS?

8. Should blogs be promoted for buyers to read?

9. If a blogger has questions within their own blog asked by readers and does not answer them, would that be considered part of CS?

10. Next month, the 4th annual Sellers Choice Awards 2014 will be out. Online sellers will be able to rate each of the marketplaces in which they have experience selling on the following criteria: CUSTOMER SERVICE, Communication, Profitability, Ease of Use. Addoway will be on that list of choices. Will you be voting?

Thank you for taking time to comment and add your questions to this blog, Curious George. I take it you have experienced some of the issues you raised wth your questions, am I right? As for the questions regarding communication (which this blog is addressing) I believe communication IS a two-way street and Sellers should always do their part to keep lines of communication open with their customers. However, there are times when communication can become blocked or turn exceptionally negative and may need a third-party intervention- such as the selling site and their Support Team directly.
Are there any other thoughts out there?

LOL, Mrs. Jones! Yes, as a matter of fact I have communicated with buyers during this terrible Polar Vortex in the US about the fact that the mail deliveries could be slowed a bit. Stay warm and thanks for adding your comment!

Hi, do you know if 11Main (dot com) Marketplace (the new Alibaba Subsidiary) will include Addoway merchants once they open their doors to US merchants?

I just received an invitation to join but I am not a member on Addoway (yet) and wasn't sure if they plan to offer a "Customer Service Leveling Field" for US eCommerce markets too?

Seems like most merchant shops either have not been here in 6+ months and nothing new (in news) from this site location.

Did they move from AZ to San Francisco? I had read this somewhere (maybe in About Us or blog dunno)

Well, obviously there are a FEW of us that are still around, Curi! As to the rest of the site and the people in charge, I cannot say where or what they are doing. I have a rather positive nature in general and am hopeful things will turn around for the good, but am also taking precautions in case they don't.
