How to Configure Huawei OptiX RTN 380

The method for configuring Huawei OptiX RTN 380 is as follows:
 
1, Before configuring OptiX RTN 380, read through Preparing Documents and Tools and ensure that all required documents and tools are available.
2, Read through Checking Configuration Conditions and check whether current conditions meet requirements for configuring OptiX RTN 380.
3, Read the following table to obtain configuration instructions.
 

If... Then...
You need to perform initial configuration during site deployment See General Configuration Process and configure each functional block.
You need to set the network topology
  1. See Basic Concepts to obtain background information required for configuration.
  2. See Configuration Process (Network Topology) and configure the network topology.
  3. For typical configuration examples, see Configuration Example (Network Topology).
You need to configure a microwave link
  1. See Configuration Process (Microwave Links) and configure a microwave link.
  2. For typical configuration examples, see Configuration Example (Microwave Links on a Chain Network), Configuration Example (Microwave Links with 1+1 Protection).
You need to configure an Ethernet service

NOTE:
Both the U2000 and the Web LCT can be used for NE configuration. The U2000 supports configuration on a per-NE basis and in end-to-end mode, whereas the Web LCT supports only configuration on a per-NE basis. In this document, all configuration examples and procedures are described based on U2000 operations. Differences between operations on the U2000 and on the Web LCT are provided where appropriate.
