Sunshine, warm temperatures, children playing outside,
motorcyclists are seen more and more. People are already starting to think about getting their gardens started. Yes, it seems that spring has hit many parts of the country earlier than normal. Record warm temperatures are being recorded daily in many places.
While we are all enjoying this beautiful weather
let's all please take the time to remember to also be safe. Those children who are out playing may not always be alert to dangers so lets do our part and keep our eyes open for them. Watch for that little boy or girl dashing into the street chasing their basketball that got away from them. Keep an eye in your blind spot for the motorcyclist whom you may not see in your rearview or side mirror, take the time to also turn your head and look before changing lanes. You may safe not only their life but your own when doing this.
Even gardening or yardwork has it's dangers.
Make sure all of your yard equipment is safe and repaired properly before you use it for the first time this year. Wear gloves when using sharp tools and wear glasses or goggles when using anything that may cause objects to fly apart or throw off small pieces. Keep small children away from dangerous tools or equipment. If you are going to use a new piece of equipment, be sure to read the instruction manual and learn to use it properly before you try it the first time.
Never be afraid to ask for help!
And as always, have a wonderful safe springtime
filled with colorful, beautiful flowers, loving family and friends!
Take the time to enjoy picnics and other
funfilled events and ENJOY!
