What Type are You?

I know we are all human and would love to be perfect however I'm sure each and every one of us knows this is impossible. If God wanted us to be perfect he would have made us that way. Our imperfections come in many different forms. We have physical imperfections, some slight and some more severe. The one thing about these physical imperfections is that in God's eyes we are still beautiful. Always try to look at each other through God's eyes and see the beauty in each other, look past any imperfections and don't judge anyone on looks.

Springtime Flower Gardening-Grow Green

Spring is definitely here early and it's time to start thinking about our gardens! If you are like me the thing that I like best about spring is seeing those pretty and colorful blooms starting to open up. Tulips, daffadils, crocus and many other varieties of flowers bloom from early spring to summer. Crocus and daffadils are two of the earliest bloomers.

Social Media Online Fraud and Begging Scams

There are many different types of fraudulent activity happening today and with today's exploding social media it's hard to differentiate between what's real and what's not. A simple picture on Facebook passed from friend to friend may seem harmless but in reality is far from that. The majority are hoaxes perpetuated by scammers.

Usually the scammer will steal a photograph of a sick child, animal or anything that he/she knows will grab at your heartstrings, then ask for donations to be made to help out with medical expenses or whatever the subject matter of the photo is for. Or they add a false caption claiming that sharing the photo will bring about donations towards the subject matter in the photo.

ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease), Knowledge and The Anguish

ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrigs disease, is a progressive disease that affecs nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The disease is not an extremely common one and approximately 5600 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year with an estimated 30,000 Americans having the disease at any given time. There is no known cure for ALS and the average life span of a person with it is 3 years after diagnosis. Some may live as long as 10 years however this is rare. Be Thankful For What You DO Have!

Life gives us ups and downs. Some of the downs are worse than others and I've found out first hand how hard it can be to rise to the challenge of climbing back up. Sometimes you just want to find the first hole to crawl in or the first rock to crawl under and say forget it, I give up! Other times you want to let everyone else do the climbing for you instead of getting yourself back up.

It's truly hard to pick up the pieces of a tragedy, an illness or other devastating hapanstance that's occurred. When a tragedy first happens you think to yourself "How am I going to get through this?!" Your first instincts are to lean on others for help and guidance. Well of course, that's what friends and family are there for. They help you to get back on your feet and get your life reorganized to some sense of normalcy, or at least as normal as it's possible...  Read More

Go Green Entertaining

Would you like some fun ways to make a change to your Christmas table and also go green at the same time?!

You can find a variety of styles, shapes and colors in vintage dishes and mix them up. Find contrasting but matching charger plates to place under your dinner plates. You could also mix and match dinner plates to add more creativity and flare to your table settings. Add more splashes of color with vintage linen placemats.

Find some large vintage glass, pottery or crystal dishes to show off foods. Use herbs, fresh greens, organic edible flowers and fruits to garnish the plates and your table. Use one of the bowls (an extra large one works best) as a decorative piece, fill it with fruit and set it as a centerpiece then use the fruit as a dessert or as snacks for your guests.
