China has accredited five leather product designers in hopes of improving quality and reversing price falls for Chinese Christian Louboutin simple in the international market.The five individuals, all in the booming southern province of Guangdong, were accredited by the provincial shoemakers' association and leather industry federation earlier this week and their qualifications have been approved by the provincial personnel department."Accreditation of professional leather designers will help improve quality of China's leather products, foster name brands and hopefully rein in the falling prices for Chinese shoes on the world market," said Qiu Xiaoguang, head of the Guangdong Shoemakers' Association.
Industry insiders say Chinese leather products are facing new opportunities to enlarge their share of the international market following the European Union's removal of import quota on Chinese Christian Louboutin greissimo pump early this year. Shoe retailers in the United States are also appealing to the federal government for a zero-tariff policy on shoe imports."But domestic shoemakers must not blindly expand exports," said Wang Jianxin, president of the Guangdong Provincial Federation for Leather Industry. "They should seek to improve quality and protect themselves from potential probes launched by shoemakers in the destination market."
Guangdong Province is China's largest manufacturing and export base for leather products.Figures provided by the provincial trade and economic commission say that shoemakers in Guangdong Province produced 3.5 billion pairs of Christian Louboutin ron ron glitter in 2004, nearly 2.5 billion pairs of which were sold to the international market. Its export of shoes last year was valued at 6.07 billion US dollars, up 11.6 percent over 2003.
