I Remember Grandma's House

I can remember when I was just a little buckaroo, and we would go visit Grandma out in Yucaipa, California. One of the most vivid memories I have of those visits was that everyone in her neighborhood had glass bottles up on their roof and in their windows, and how all those bottles turned colors (mostly purple). Don't know why I remember this, but I do. Maybe that's why I collect and sell glass!

That glass turned purple from the sun oxidizing chemical salts in the material. How cool that you remember!

As I get older, I have noticed that my mind does funny things. I can remember things from when I was a kid, but I can't remember what I had for dinner last night!
