From Good Old Summertime
July is for Fun in the Sun we all know.  But, did you know it's also a great time to get
the best deals on Christmas gifts, presents, menu ideas, decorations and holiday essentials?  When summer is over (oh, perish the thought), the Christmas and Holiday Season begins a fanatical rush.  While you are thinking of back-to-school perhaps or your ordinary day to day routine, the stock is on the store shelves.  Savvy consumers will shop early, get the best bang for their buck.  The 'early bird gets the worm', an old adage is so true.

The pinterest board for addoway Christmas in July sellers is here.

When October/November rolls around, good stuff is nearly gone.  Stores aren't stocking heavy overload anymore.  Christmas in July makes so much sense to...  Read More

addoBlog Day celebrates an anniversary

blogofflowers.png
addoblog Day is typically on Wednesdays on addoway.com, when merchants publish their own blogs.  Last year on 6/22/2011 addoway introduced the live blogs for addoBlog Day.  See the announcement from ecommerce bytes. So, just  a little shout out to all the addoBloggers and the addoway team for blogging day!

You can find addoblogs featured on the addoway.com home page.  Every day, two blogs are featured.
Taking part in the addoBlog day is a win-win for customers and merchants.

I did these charts a couple months after the intial addoBlog Wednesday.

Update on addoway sales

Well, I first posted on this topic in August of 2011, called Monday, Tuesday, Addo-Days.
In that post I was looking at top sales and which days saw the most conversions.
The top days for Royal Presence is still Mondays.

Then, at the end of the year, I wrote about the Year in Review for 2011.  I joined in April, so didn't have a complete year to depict.  Still showing Mondays as the top sales day.

So, in this post I wanted to compare April and May from 2011 to April and May 2012 since I had full data for these two months so far.

Clearly, the number of sales orders increased from these two months last year to the same two months for this year.  And, still Mondays are the top days!  Mondays and Addoways!  Love it!

Blogs on addoway and live traffic reports 2 great features

One of the great features of addoway is the privilege of writing blogs.
Bloggers share some of their points of view, products, daily struggles, likes, and  hobbies.
Getting to know the sellers in this venue is a boon for potential customers to see the essence of the merchant.

Pictured below are some icons from some of the more frequent bloggers that share on the addoway sellers meet and greet group on facebook.

CAPA What is it?

CAPA.  What is it?  If you are in the business of any industry, manufacturing,  selling online, retail or wholesale, chances are you have a Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system in place.  CAPA is not a bandaid solution, it's better than that.  CAPA will give you a source for improvement and quality control.

A CAPA system will help build a business on a solid foundation and not on sand.

Perhaps there are some online sellers who do not yet have such a system. Having a CAPA system in place helps to provide continual customer satisfaction, prevent future errors and eliminate process, shipping or manufacturing errors.

With online selling, this can be your best friend.

For instance, if you had a problem with a shipment.  In CAPA, you record the incident, try to find out the root...  Read More

Out of the Darkness ~ 18 miles

This is not a comfortable subject by any means, but I felt the need to spread a little awareness if possible.

Friends of the family had a teenager who was found dead one November day, almost six years ago.  Some of the mother's reflection story is here.  How she dealt with the tragedy is amazing.  She now helps to illuminate the issues surrounding such a sensitive subject.

Out of the Darkness is the theme of a walk that is designed to help provide research, education, advocacy and prevention of depression and suicide.  This year the walk is in San Francisco June 9th - 10th, where participants will walk from dusk to dawn to help bring awareness.
