addoway Year in Review 2011

The Year in Review on addoway.

I joined addoway in March, 2011.addoYearinreview.jpg

I've been flabbergasted ever since.  The sales and the people, addoway team Fred, Anthony and others have blown me away into the land of addoway.  It's been an incredible ride.  Thank you to Team addoway and all the facebook and twitter folks I've met.  Thank you to my customers!

Sales overall have exceeded my expectations.  December in particular accounted for about 45% of already strong sales.  I can't even begin to think about 2012 as I'm still taking shaking my head.

In comparison to another venue last year, about 300% increase and it's only nine months of the year.

Happy New Year Blessings!

May the new year bring
The warmth of home and hearth to you.
The cheer and goodwill of friends to you,
The hope of a childlike heart to you.
The joy of a thousand angels to you,
The love of the Son and God's peace to you.

Shipping Rushes, Priority Mail under the tree, Happy New Year to all!

Whew!  The holiday shipping rush is subsiding.  It is certainly a challenge to get things to go before the wee hours of the morning for pick-up schedules with USPS.  Still have eleven going out tomorrow morning two days after Christmas!

Thank you addoway for connecting customers and merchants for a productive season.  Thank you USPS for delivery of these packages on time!

Thank you customers for engaging with Royal Presence here on addoway.

Thank you addoway friends, facebook and twitter friends for helping me out during this season.  I appreciate everyone's support and encouragement.

Hope to continue serving you as long as I am able, God willing!  Vaya con Dios

Happy New Year!

Carry your Candle, Go Light your World!

I played this song in a class I was in training for Hospice.

This song means many different things to each person who listens.
To me, this means to bring our talents, gifts and strengths to others who need, want or do not have those same capabilities.  Please listen to the video.  Kathy Troccoli is the singer.

Hospice helps those who are terminally ill.  Many patients are not enrolled in Hospice until the very  end of life, but Hospice can begin much earlier, but families are not educated enough to help their loved ones that soon and perhaps are in denial.

I entered the Hospice class to train as a volunteer a few years after my mother's death.  Death and dying bring the family dynamics to the forefront.  It's very helpful to be compassionate and caring, but also know what is happening.

As a Hospice Volunteer,...  Read More

The Legend of the Poinsettia

I have a guest blogger Vincenzina Krymow, a published author (see books below) that frequently contributes to my shrinegarden blog, but wanted to share here with addowayers who may not follow the Marian Legends. I came to know Vincenzina through a mutual association with John Stokes, Jr., and Marys Gardens. (archives now available at the University of Dayton)

The Legend of the Poinsettia

The Poinsettia and other plants associated with Christmas

A charming story is told of  Pepita, a poor Mexican girl who had no gift to present to the Christ Child at Christmas Eve services. As Pepita walked slowly towards the chapel with her cousin Pedro, her heart was filled with sadness rather than joy.

"I am sure, Pepita, that even the most humble gift, if given in love, will be acceptable in His eyes," said Pedro consolingly.Read More
