Pope Francis, the New Pope Habemus Papam

March 13, 2013

Today, we have a new Pope.  Vaya con Dios (means Go with God or Godspeed)
Pope Francis, not Pope Francis I as many thought.

Jorge Mario Bergoglio chose the name of Francis, one of the patron saints of Italy.

May we bless the workings of the Holy Spirit to help guide us and direct us and Pope Francis.

I didn't know anything about this man until today.  It will be inspiring to learn from him for the Easter season and the course of his papacy.

What impresses me at first glance is that he was still using public transporation.  Wow!  A very humble man, it seems he paid his hotel bill himself this morning as he ventured out and then visited
the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore.

The Adventures of Millie Episode Two

Well, it is almost a year since
The Adventures of Millie the Super Mom aired.

It was meant to be a monthly series, if not weekly, but it did not happen because of
other pursuits, life and priorities.

Here is Episode 2 which encapsulates a year of events.  In Episode One, we thought
Millie would find a new job which was to occur in Episode 3.  In the meantime, we need to see Part Two before we find that out.

who we encounter perhaps at work,...  Read More

Out of the Darkness ~ 18 miles

This is not a comfortable subject by any means, but I felt the need to spread a little awareness if possible.

Friends of the family had a teenager who was found dead one November day, almost six years ago.  Some of the mother's reflection story is here.  How she dealt with the tragedy is amazing.  She now helps to illuminate the issues surrounding such a sensitive subject.
