A Different Kind of Christmas Poem - Thanks to Our Military!

A Different Kind of Christmas Poem

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,

Last Chance to thank our Military before Christmas!

Time is slipping by ever so quickly, and if you have a few minutes, please take time to thank our military men and women for their great service to us! Many are in areas that are remote and cold. Often they have limited phone/computer time to talk to their loved ones. Please remember them and all they do to protect us, our country and our freedoms.

A great idea is to send A Christmas Catd to a Hero in the Armed Forces. Today was the last best day, but we will send ours a bit later:

Here are some other ideas from the USO:

Does Joe Biden really think he can beat Hillary Clinton in 2016?

Clinton has a huge early edge, but we're still a long way from the next election.
By  TheWeek.com

It has become something of a foregone conclusion that if Hillary Clinton wants it, the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016 is all hers.

That doesn't mean other Democrats, including Vice President Joe Biden, won't at least try to win the nod themselves. And Biden's backers say they are confident that not only could the vice president become the nominee, but that he could do so even if Clinton joins the race.

The improbable claim was reported this morning by The Wall Street Journal:
