Joyce Kilmer. 1886–1918
I THINK that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
We love this poem and we also love our families...and exploring our roots. You, too, may enjoy doing this on sites as Ancestry.com
, or MyHeritage.com
. For supplementing or finding information that may not be on these sites, we also love FamilySearch.org
My sister, Bootsie, wants us to hurry and fill out all the leaves on our tree, so she can make a beautiful Tree of Life Collage to hang in her home. In that vein, we searched and found a Treasure Trove of Trees of Life on Addoway
! There are Tapestries, Decorator Pillows and more to see! We love all of these, and especially this down insert Gold Floral Pillow from AMBfurniture
It is 24" x 24" with a zippered removable cover, is custom made in the USA and takes 4-6 weeks lead time for production. Shipping is free.
Here are some other items that you may wish to explore. So if you will kinldy please excuse us, we must get back to work now, as our Ancestors are calling...the ones that we have not yet found are impatiently awaiting seeing their 'leaf added and our research more complete! And other family gurus much further along in their research are anxiously hoping we will find that missing 'link' to show how/where we are related. Ciao!
