Leave My Wonder Woman Aloneon April 22nd 2011
Okay so we all know I am a HUGE superhero fan. I don't know if that is called escapism (is that a word), or what, but I always loved me some superhero's and stilll do too this day. Heck, even if it's not a superhero I like, I am the first geek at the movies watchinig it. Recently, on my radar scope, is my all time favorite lady, "Wonder Woman" coming to the big screen. Now personally I don't think anyone but Lynda Carter could play the Amazon Princess, but that's just a personal opinion. What really got me seething was that they changed Wonder Woman's costume. Really? How do you do that? I mean she has been wearing that costume for I don't know about 65+ years ago, and she has been rocking that USA swimsuit ever since. Now along comes this new movie and she is wearing her diving outfit. If you're like me and a diehard Wonder Woman fan, you too would be having... The economy may have tanked, but peoples passion for collecting sure hasn't. It's been awhile since I have blogged on addoway, not for lack of not loving to write. So many projects and so many things to add to our store there never seems to be enough time. I noticed lately that with spring here, alot of people are purchasing antique primitives for their backyards. I have been told by many of our customers, that as the economic crisis has deepened, this is not detracted them from trying to still enjoy life for what it's worth. Recently one of our newest customers bought up all the antique clay English pots we had (the 9" inch very hard to get) and the English edging for her very European garden. I can't wait to see the pictures of the English garden she is working on with her family. It's Holiday Time Againon November 27th 2010
It is indeed that time of the year again when all sellers pray that people buy from their stores. Each year it seems like the economy knocks us down further, but we as ecommerce sellers remain resilient and keep on trucking down the road. I think with the year 2010 coming to a close it is important for all sellers (whether your sales are down or not), to take a moment to pause and reflect on the economy and others who aren't as fortunate as we are. Why fortunate you say? Well if you are still running your own ecommerce site, you are fortunate. There are many this year, statisically that do not have jobs, and do not know how to create their own ecommerce businesses. We are established. We can still put food on our tables, and pay our bills. Yes our pockets are far tighter, but yet we all have sustained. |
