Of course I'm way behind on my blog here on Addoway skipping right through the past couple of months. Things have been busy in a great way! Last months find of the month was hard to choose but I think this piece wins the spot. After almost a month of pondering I finally decided to quit wondering and guessing what this gorgeous stone was so I took it to a gemologist with a wonderful stone testing lab. The verdict came back that it is a large 30+ carat genuine London Blue topaz set in 14 carat white gold and surrounded by diamonds. A truly amazing piece and definitely not something you would find at a big box jewelry store.

Found in Monterey, California basically as an unloved discard is this super adorable sculpture, a shelf sitter by Tim Cotterill titled "Hide And Seek." When I first found this piece I thought it was ceramic, right until I picked it up. It's amazingly heavy and so fun and colorful!
