How to use the Multi-Variation Listings Option Tool
As part of our newest Pro Membership tools, we present to you the highly anticipated Multi-Variation Listing Options. With this addition, sellers will now be able to create individual listings containing multiple variations of the same item. For example, as a seller, this can be very helpful if you have several color/sizes avaiable for the same item. As a buyer, its makes it much easier to specify the color and size combination that you want to order.
Above is what the Multi-Variation Listing Options looks like on the Sell page. Step 1 is to add a Variable Type. Variable Types include specifics such as Color, Material, Size etc. You can add up to 3 different variable types, but you can add unlimited Variable Values to each Type.
Here we've added a variable type of Color, and for this we've added 3 variable values: Blacks, Greens, Blues. You can see that as you add new variable values, a "Variable Input" table forms below, providing price, quantity and sku inputs for each possible variation.
Now we set the price and quanitity for each variation that we have available for sale. The sku in an optional field and is only used if the seller needs to match an item to a sku # in their own system. Moving on, we make sure to fill out any remaining inputs required to finish the ad, and then Preview.
As you can see, the finished ad would include a color select option, allowing the buyer to select from any of the available colors that you specified. Once an option is selected, the Price and Quantity available will automatically change to reflect the specific variation that was selected.
Let's take this a step further.
In this example, we've added a second variation type for Women's Size, in addition to the Color options that we specified previously. For Women's Size, we've added the Values: S, M, L, XL
As in the previous example, the Variable Input table is generated to provide inputs for every possible combination of variables you've added. It is important to note that you are not required to fill in a price and quantity for every combination. Only fill in those that you have available for purchase.
As you can see, there are now variable select options available for both Color and Women's Size. When the listing first loads, the quantity displayed is equal to the total quantity of all the variations that you've offered, and the initial price displayed is that of the lowest priced variation available. Once the buyer selects a combination of color and size, the price and quantity will change to reflect that of the specific combination selected. Also included with this feature is the option to Save Variation Templates, which make it veryeasy to manage and re-apply Variation Options that you've created previously. We hope that you are excited to use this great new Pro Member tool, as we are excited to offer it to you.
