How to Post a Blog on Addoway with Pictures and Video

One of the easiest ways to drive potential customers to your store is by writing a weekly blog. Addoway makes it easy to write a blog by clicking on My Addoway>Write a Blog/Edit a Blog. Why bother? Well, when you write a blog on the Addoway website, it gives those that read it a chance to get to know you better - it increases trust. And the AddoBlogs are featured on Addoway's homepage on a rotating basis, increasing your readership and the chance someone will find your store. 

We have a special day we like to focus on blogging - it's called AddoBlog Wednesday! There is a thread on the Facebook group 'Addoway Sellers Meet and Greet' where we encourage you to post your blog, so everyone can read, comment and share. It is usually started on Tuesday for those early birds. :)

Why should you post your Addoway blog on the thread? To get more exposure: everyone who posts is asked to read all the other blogs, comment at the end of the blog if you would like, and share on your own social media. Everyone who reads your 'share' is a potential customer and will help you, and Addoway, grow!

I actually write my blogs on two sites: first on Addoway and then on blogspot.com a week or so later. I copy and paste my Addoblog to blogspot (the pictures even go over) - the only thing I change is a slight rewording of the title.

Blogs can be about anything - a special product in your store, how you source products (concentrating on benefits to your customers), or what is going on in your life. As Fredrick says, "Write about your passions". You should ALWAYS include the link to your Addoway store in your blog. I also add my links to RebelMouse, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. And ask for comments on your blog.

You can easily add pictures to your blog on Addoway by following these steps: You need to use a picture that has a URL - you can upload your picture to a free site - I use photobucket. Upload your picture to that site after you open your free account. It will give you four links. You will want to use the one that says Direct Link . If you left click on the link it will copy to your mouse and then you can paste it to your addoway blog using the image icon at the top.

Or if you are using a picture of a product you have for sale, you can use that by right clicking on the picture, and scrolling down to properties. You will see the URL and you can copy & past it to your blog. You would do the same thing to use a picture from facebook. Once you have the URL of your picture, go back to your "New Blog Post" page on Addoway, click on the image icon - it's the second little colored one as you read right to left. That will pull up a new screen. Right click on the URL box to paste your pictures link. Ignore the alternative text. I usually put 100 in the width and the size will adjust. Then I put 2 in the Border, HSpace and VSpace boxes. You can set the alignment to right or left. Then click OK - preview and then save!

I usually write and edit my blog using notepad - just in case (I don't want to lose anything). Then I copy and past to Addoway, preview, and if I like how it looks, hit save. To add your blog to the Addoway group thread on Facebook, click on the title, and then copy and paste the URL to the Facebook thread.
