Keep Calm. The Quiet Car is quite nice.
Not being a traveler, I was a bit confused when entering a ‘quiet car’ on Amtrak
for a trip from Boston to New York for the Christmas holiday.
Since this was going to be a four-hour trip, there was a host of snacks carefully packed. Never one to be unprepared, I had an assortment of melon, prosciutto, rolled up polish ham, roast beef, crackers, cheddar cheese, goat cheese, crusty bread and blue cheese.
