As a Mother of six and Grandmother of four, I'm at that age where computers were not one of those high priority things in life when I was younger. In fact they were barely even a known entity and just coming into play into the world, whether it was business or personal. Back then computers were huge, not anything you could put into a small bag and take with you anywhere you went or even small enough to stick into your purse.

Technology has advanced so far over the past few years it's amazing. I never had any kind of formal training and have learned by the seat of my pants "so to speak". Well, I'm late as usual posting this blog. In trying to get so many other things done this is one of those things that got put on the back burner as a "I'll get to it when I have time" thing. Anyway this is also going to be one of those throw together, no real purpose or idea blogs. More of a thank you to everyone who has welcomed me to the Addoway family (I guess that is a purpose isn't it?).

I have to say I'm really happy to be part of Addoway. So far everything I see is great. The people, the site and the support are all far better than I expected. For a site that is really in it's infancy as far as websites and venues go, I'm impressed with the ease of use here not to mention just the lack of problems. As a child and also the "middle" child with 3 sisters and 1 brother, the song "Stuck in the Middle with You" has always been one of those songs that brings memories back from my childhood years and beyond. I was the girl you would would stereotype as the typical "Daddy's girl", following him everywhere he went when he was home. He was gone a lot because you see, my Dad was a truck driver. Any of you who have Dads whose jobs involved travel or even just working super long days may very well understand how when you are close to someone, you want to spend as much time with that person as possible.

My Dad is my hero, my idol and my strength. He's the rock that has always been there for me through challenges in life and stood by my side in both good and bad times. I decided to write my first blog about him because of the influence he's had on me.
