I am a certified medical transcriptionist and work from my home office. I have sold on eBay and numerous other sites for the past ten years and more recently here on Addoway.

I have copyrighted a set of aids for medical transcriptionists and a wedding poem for my Wedding Plate Poem plates. I also sell a wide variety of items including collectibles, website graphics navigational headers, craft books and live plants.

Knee Patches and a Food Processor


When my first son was young, Sears sold nice looking long pants for boys that had reinforced knees that were guaranteed not to tear or wear out. Their promise in the promotion was that if the knees did wear out or tear, all the buyer had to do was return them to Sears for a new pair.  In a little less than six months, I exchanged pants with worn out and/or torn knees at least six times.  I was not surprised when Sears discontinued that promotion (grin).  Thanks to that Sears promotion, I learned how important it is to save store receipts and/or the actual damaged item(s).

BargainBasement, a simple name for a simple reason

Ever since I was a small girl growing up only a few miles outside of our Nation's capitol Washington, D.C., I have fond memories of walking the sidewalks of the big stores viewing the large moving displays at Christmastime.  Moving Santas, reindeer, elves, snow and Christmas music all filling the cold night air with excitement and wonder.

Just as everyone else, times were tough for our family and Christmas presents were few. We could each hope for one or two presents, but one of them had to be something practical like a dress or new pair of shoes.  Our Christmas stockings always contained apples, oranges, nuts and a few pieces of those fancy colorful hard sugar candies.
